Death By Audio, Brooklyn NYC
22nd October

One of the best things about living in New York City is that there are always a heap of awesome bands coming into town. Tonight was especially awesome because Melbourne legends The Bennies we’re in town for one show only, playing alongside a heap of other awesome acts. Even though it was pouring rain outside and the venue was a DIY space tucked away in the backstreets of Brooklyn, the place was packed full of people before any of the bands hit the stage!

I arrived halfway through a brilliant set from Dan Potthast, and was blown away by his performance. Coming all the way from California, he’s definitely worth checking out if he’s in your town. The Tweens then warmed up the stage before The Bennies hit the stage. Fresh off the #partybong internet scandal, the guys were in fine form, and pulled off a cracking show packed full of all of their hits, stage diving, beers and a bunch of rowdy locals loving every minute of it!

Jeff Rosenstock capped off the night with an awesome set and getting the crowd up and about, including Jules of The Bennies sticking his foot through the floor on a bungled stage dive attempt. Make sure you get out and see The Bennies in action of their remaining USA dates, and at The Fest!
