The Aussie punk rockers have been gigging since 1992 with mainstay Jason Whalley on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Triple J’s Lindsay [The Doctor] McDougall on lead guitar and backing vocals, Gordy Forman on drums and Tom Crease on bass.
Two of the group’s albums have peaked into the top 20 on the ARIA Albums Chart, A Man’s Not a Camel (1999) and Smoko At The Pet Food Factory (2011). The boys have toured internationally and have supported the likes of The Offspring, Bad Religion and Blink-182.
The group have generated controversy for their profanity on cover art, in song titles and lyrics, for their behaviour on-and-off-stage, and for their association with causes such as veganism and radical politics.
Australian rock music journalist, Ed Nimmervoll, described them, “[their] history is littered with legendary stories, perhaps true, perhaps exaggerations, but stories which fuel and match their song and album titles. Their songs are often profane, likely to poke fun at someone including themselves, hint at a social conscience, and inside all the tough talk and body jokes can be hopelessly romantic.”
