Lochlan Watt announced as host of The Racket on Triple J

Earlier this week we were incredibly excited to hear that a good friend of Chucking a Mosh, Lochlan Watt had been announced as the new host of Triple J’s metal program, The Racket.

After many years playing in bands and being a major part of running the live music scene in Brisbane, there is no doubt in our mind that this job couldn’t have gone to a more deserving person. We look forward to hearing you on the radio next week!

‘After a killer month of guest hosts, we are excited to announce that 24 year old Lochlan Watt from Brisbane will be taking over as the new presenter of triple j’s heavy music show The Racket. 

A musician himself, Lochlan has been in various metal bands as a vocalist/drummer/synth player for Western Decay, The Surrogateand Ironhide, and currently fronts post-hardcore band Nuclear Summer. He’s booked and promoted clubs around Brisbane and has just started his own label Monolith, which releases Australian music of the heavy variety. HE KNOWS HIS HEAVY STUFF. 

Lochlan begins his reign over The Racket at 10pm on Tuesday 28 February.’
